Coccinella
e chiacchiere umane miste a letture,
e poi ancora gesti e movimenti
raccolto, come pulviscolo marino,
dal colorato telo del mondo,
mentre tu esisti d’ignoto al mio sguardo.
E penso,
E penso,

Ladybug
Motionless, with outstretched wings,
lying on the wooden surface that offers you the breath of your heart,
you die!
As I sit and watch,
you stiffen your mottled shell!
And I search for meaning in this moment,
which demands that I witness a passing.
You are there, and I am here beside you,
radiating even the tremors of your silent cries.
Why?
Why did I see you, little ladybug?
Why did you want me there for your final heartbeat?
Curiosity makes me human,
displaces sadness,
and dances a single step in my thoughts,
and makes me write:
I would like to know your last flight,
I would like to possess your last dream!
My gaze brings forth pangs of longing,
human chatter mingled with the things I’ve read,
along with gestures and movements—
all part of an eternal, restless search,
a question born of constant suffering.
Are all of humanity’s emotions contained right here?
Now, everything within me—in the depths of my heart—
lies stretched out upon the fabric of summer,
gathered up, like sea-spray dust,
from the colorful tapestry of the world,
while you exist as something unknown to my eyes.
And I think,
good is a treasure that travels from hand to hand,
from mouth to mouth, from heart to heart.
If it remains still, it becomes evil!
And I think:
goodness is a treasure that passes from hand to hand,
from mouth to mouth, from heart to heart;
if it stands still, it turns into evil!
And I seek a meaning in this moment,
which demands that I bear witness to a passing.
You are there, and I am here beside you,
radiating even the tremors of your weeping.
Why? Why did I see you ladybug?
Why did you want me there for your final heartbeat?
And I search for meaning in this moment
And I search for meaning in this moment
And I search for meaning in this moment
And as you die,
I would like to know your last flight,
I would like to possess your last dream!
And I search for meaning in this moment
And I search for meaning in this moment
And I search for meaning in this moment
